Vihuela, a somewhat mysterious instrument coming from the Iberian Peninsula, which replaced the lute in Spain and Portugal, served as a means for presentation of a supreme instrumental art in this region in the 16th century. The court art in the spirit of Castiglione, with a peculiarity not found anywhere else, culminated in 1576 in the works by Estevan Daça. This project has led the performers Perrine Devillers and Ariel Abramovich to numerous renowned European events such as Festival Floremus in Florence, Festival de Música Antigua de Sevilla, and finally also to Bratislava, where it will sound in the enchanting acoustics of the Klarisky Concert Hall.
